John C. Gooden
Chief Operating Officer, M. Davis & Sons, Inc.
John Gooden is the COO of M. Davis & Sons, Inc., a fifth-generation, award-winning
construction company that builds, installs and services corporate and government
facilities with its vast workforce of over 400 tradespeople that is honed with engineering
expertise and state-of-the-art technologies.
John has over 35 years of experience in Delaware’s construction industry, much of the
time with M. Davis & Sons. His strategic leadership and innovative thinking have played
a pivotal role in propelling the growth of modular process skid design, fabrication, testing, and assembly, a clear testament to his ability to foster team development.
John's unwavering commitment to the construction industry is evident in his active
involvement in workforce development programs across the State of Delaware, where
he serves on Workforce Development Board and he chairs Governor Meyer’s Advisory
Committee on Apprenticeship. He is the current Chairman of the Board for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and Co-Chair of the Delaware Manufacturing
Association's board of managers.
John served his country in the U.S. Army, a testament to his discipline and dedication.
He graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's in mechanical
engineering and further honed his skills with a WAM from The Wharton School,
University of Pennsylvania.
