Roundtable Applauds $50 Million Workforce Development Investment

The Delaware Business Roundtable issued the following statement regarding Gov. John Carney's announcement of a $50 million investment in workforce development.

"The Delaware Business Roundtable applauds Gov. John Carney’s announcement to utilize federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to extend the reach of the Pathways program, which allows students to gain real-world work experience while in school. Pathways is already enormously successful. This funding will help even more Delaware students as they prepare to enter the workforce. Increased funding for workforce training and development programs like Forward Delaware will be particularly important for those whose jobs have been impacted by the pandemic. In addition, as the Delaware Prosperity Partnership continues its success in attracting jobs to Delaware, this funding will help to ensure that talented, skilled individuals are ready to be hired.”
